About AtlasPath
AtlasPath was created with a simple idea: learning about the world should feel as engaging as playing a game. We’re a small team of builders, thinkers, and lifelong learners who believe geography is more than memorization: it’s a gateway to understanding people, cultures, and history.
Instead of static lessons, we’ve built an interactive experience that turns curiosity into momentum. Every quiz, challenge, and mode is designed to make learning feel natural, rewarding, and fun. Whether you’re a student, a casual learner, or someone keeping their mind sharp, AtlasPath adapts to you.
We’re just getting started. As AtlasPath grows, our mission is to expand both the breadth of knowledge and the ways you can interact with it, through new challenges, richer datasets, and more personalized learning tools. Whether you’re here for five minutes or five hours, our goal is simple: help you learn something new and make you want to come back for more.

Borders & Place Names
All maps, boundaries, names, and territorial designations in AtlasPath are shown for educational purposes only. They are drawn from the data sources listed above and follow common cartographic practice; they do not express any opinion or position concerning the legal status or sovereignty of any country, territory, or area, or the delimitation of its frontiers. Some regions of the world are subject to territorial disputes, and the way they appear here may differ from the way any particular government recognizes them.
Data Accuracy
Our datasets are compiled from the sources above and carefully reviewed, but in a collection this large some errors are inevitable. If you spot one, we genuinely want to know, so email us at atlaspath.support@gmail.com and we'll fix it.
Privacy
AtlasPath collects only what it needs to run your account: an email address, a username, and your learning progress and quiz statistics. We never sell personal data, and deleting your account permanently removes this data. See the Privacy tab above for our full Privacy Policy, including our approach to children's privacy.
Cookies & Data
AtlasPath uses your browser's local storage for preferences and progress, and privacy-respecting analytics (with advertising signals turned off) to understand aggregate usage. We serve no ads. By continuing to use the site, you agree to this use.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
AtlasPath ("we," "us") is a geography education web app. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run an optional account, we never sell personal information, we show no ads, and you can play the entire app without giving us anything at all.
1. Playing without an account
You can use all of AtlasPath without creating an account. In that case we collect no personal information. Your progress (completed activities, streaks, preferences) is saved only in your browser's local storage on your own device. We can't see it, and clearing your browser data removes it.
2. What we collect if you create an account
Creating an account is optional and adds online progress sync across your devices. We collect:
That is the entire list. We do not collect real names, addresses, phone numbers, photos, location, or payment information. If you choose to send us a message through the in-app contact form, we keep that message and your username so we can respond.
Date of birth at signup: when you create an account we ask your date of birth once, to determine account eligibility (see Section 3). It is checked in your browser's memory and immediately discarded. It is never stored or transmitted to us.
3. Children's privacy (COPPA)
AtlasPath is an educational service enjoyed by all ages. In line with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):
4. How we use information
Only to run the service: authenticating you, saving and displaying your own progress and stats, resetting your password, responding to messages you send us, and preventing abuse (rate limiting). We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or marketing, and we never sell it.
5. Who else sees it
Your account data is stored on Google's Firebase platform (Google LLC), which processes it on our behalf as our infrastructure provider under the Firebase Data Processing Terms. We also use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand aggregate, anonymous usage (see Section 9). No other company receives your personal information, and your account data is not shown to other users.
6. How long we keep it
We keep account data only while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app (profile menu → Account Actions). Deletion is immediate and cascades through everything we hold: quiz history, username, profile, progress, and the login account itself. Guest-mode data never reaches us at all (Section 1). We never retain personal information indefinitely.
7. Security
Account data is protected by Google-managed authentication, per-user database access rules, and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your data occurs, we will notify you at your account email promptly.
8. Your rights
Wherever you live, we honor the same rights: see what we hold about you (your stats screens show essentially all of it), correct your username, and delete everything (in-app account deletion, or email us). EU/UK users: the legal basis for processing is performance of the service you signed up for, and you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
9. Cookies, local storage & analytics
We use your browser's local storage for device preferences (theme, layer settings) and guest progress. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand aggregate usage, such as which features are popular and whether people return; this may set first-party analytics cookies or identifiers, and it is configured so that advertising signals (ad storage, ad personalization, and ad-user data) are denied, meaning no advertising profile is ever built from your activity. We use no advertising cookies and serve no ads.
10. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date and, for account holders, note the change at next login.

Terms of Service
Last updated: July 23, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of AtlasPath (the "Service"). By using AtlasPath, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
AtlasPath can be used entirely without an account (guest mode). Creating an account requires you to be at least 13 years old, consistent with our approach to children's privacy (see the Privacy Policy, Section 3). Our signup flow uses a neutral date-of-birth screen to enforce this, and the date of birth itself is never stored. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Please notify us promptly at atlaspath.support@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
2. The Service
AtlasPath is a geography education product: a quiz engine, timed challenges (including map puzzles), a curriculum with progress tracking, and an interactive 3D globe and map. AtlasPath is currently free to use. Features, content, and availability may change, be added, or be removed at any time.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice, at our discretion.
4. Your content
The content the Service stores for you is your username (your display name) and your own learning and progress data, which is visible only to you. If you contact us through the in-app form, we also store your message so we can respond. We do not host public free-text content such as comments, chat, or uploads. You retain no trademark claim over your username, and we may reclaim or reset it if it violates Section 3 or conflicts with a namespace requirement.
5. Subscriptions and payments
AtlasPath is currently free. If paid subscriptions are introduced in the future, their price, billing frequency, and cancellation terms will be presented at the point of purchase and incorporated into these Terms by reference.
6. Intellectual property
Our content. The AtlasPath software, design, quiz logic, curriculum structure, and original written content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended educational purpose.
Third-party data and images. AtlasPath displays geographic data and images sourced from third parties (GeoNames, OpenStreetMap, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons, Marine Regions, and others), each under its own license. Full attribution is on the in-app Data Sources page (About, Data Sources), incorporated into these Terms by reference. Your use of that underlying third-party data is also subject to each source's own license terms where you use it outside the Service.
Copyright complaints. If you believe content on AtlasPath infringes your copyright, contact atlaspath.support@gmail.com with (1) identification of the copyrighted work, (2) identification of the material and its location in the Service, (3) your contact information, and (4) a statement of your good-faith belief and of the accuracy of your notice. We will investigate and remove infringing material promptly.
7. Maps and geographic content
Maps, borders, and place names in AtlasPath are shown for educational purposes only and do not express any opinion on the legal status of any territory or the delimitation of its frontiers. See the full disclaimer under About, Disclaimers, incorporated into these Terms by reference. Datasets are reviewed for accuracy but may contain errors; please report them to atlaspath.support@gmail.com.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ATLASPATH WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in-app (profile menu, Account Actions), which removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or if required by law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will note them at next login for account holders and update the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
